　　According to the statistics of China mold industry association, in 2018, China's mold export was US $6.085 billion, an increase of 10.8% over the previous year, accounting for one quarter of the total global mold export. The export covers about 200 countries and regions around the world. The top five export markets are the United States, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan and Mexico respectively; Mold imports reached US $2.14 billion, a year-on-year increase of 4.3%, accounting for one eighth of the total global mold imports. The top five import markets are Japan, South Korea, Germany, Taiwan and the United States.

　　Mold is known as the "mother of industry". According to the research of China mold industry association, the consumption of Chinese molds of 255.5 billion yuan in 2018 can support the country's industrial manufactured products of 28 trillion yuan. It is an important part of "made in China" and plays the role of "behind the scenes hero" from "great power and heavy weapon" to the improvement of people's life. Taking the automobile industry as an example, the dependence of automobile manufacturing molds has exceeded 90%, and more than 95% of China's mold enterprises are involved in automobile molds.

　　According to statistics, in recent years, Chinese mold enterprises have accelerated their "going global" and completed more than 20 related mergers and acquisitions, with a transaction amount of nearly US $7 billion. The main direction of mergers and acquisitions is the intellectualization, electrification and lightweight of molds.
